Milwaukee’s love for festivals runs deep—long before the celebrations at H. Maier Festival Park, the city’s festival tradition dates back to the mid-19th century! From early Sängerfests and Turnfests to today’s major events, historian Steve Schaffer will take us on a journey through Milwaukee’s roots and enduring passion for festivals.
