Bringing History to Life with Jessica Michna: Portraying Mother Mary Ann Bickerdyke

Step into history with award-winning historian and actor Jessica Michna as she brings to life the inspiring story of Mary Ann Bickerdyke, a heroic Civil War nurse beloved by soldiers and known as “Mother Bickerdyke.”

During the Civil War, more soldiers perished from disease than battle wounds, and the care they received was often woefully inadequate. Mary Ann Bickerdyke rose above these challenges, distinguishing herself with her tireless dedication and compassion. Join us for a theatrical performance recounting her incredible journey and legacy.

Time: 11:15am – 1:30pm

Cost: $15.00 per person

Seating for lunch begins at 11:15am in River’s Edge Restaurant. The presentation begins at 12:30pm.

A free encore presentation without lunch repeats in the Compass Point Pavilion Theater at 2pm. Registration is not required for the 2pm showing.

Caesar Salad

Chicken Marsala

Chicken breast with creamy Marsala gravy served over garlic mashed potatoes with petite green beans.
