Join the Wisconsin Bureau of Consumer Protection to learn about the most common scams targeting seniors, how to spot the red flags, and what to do if you or someone you know becomes a victim. Helpful take-home factsheets will be available.

As the state’s lead consumer protection agency, the Bureau works to educate the public, mediate complaints, investigate fraud, and take action against deceptive practices that harm consumers and honest businesses.

About the Speaker
Ben Merens is an Outreach Specialist with the Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection. He previously served as a case manager with the Milwaukee Health Department and spent 21 years as a Wisconsin Public Radio talk show host. With a background in healthcare communications and professional storytelling, Ben brings insight, clarity, and engaging stories to this important topic.

This presentation WILL NOT repeat at 2pm. Residents and community members are welcome to attend the talk at 12:30pm in the community room without lunch. No registration required to attend just the talk.
